Question 73 dash pad

I have a 73 Camaro that has a dash pad that is just starting to warp, just a bit of a gap in the middle of the dash. I would like to know if anyone has ever had any success in using any type of adhesive to re-secure one with this minor of a warp? Or any other remedies that have worked. I would like to keep the original if possible.

Hi Scooter
Hey welcome aboard
I have seen decent results with adhering it back to shape. The best results were coupled by gluing and then applying weight and setting in direct sunlight to cure and reshape while curing. I have also had some come back that had detached in the same or another area.
It seams to be a trial and era repair and who's more stubborn you or the dash.

If Memory serves me it was a product by DuroMix, part number 50/40, however I would also use a slower drying mix which the part number escapes me.
Other product lines like SEM or Fuse It works very well but there applicator guns are expensive. You can shop for an Automotive Paint supply store that keep a gun applicator on hand to lend out when you purchase there product.
I would look for more repairs needed to glue were these product are not cheap. But they work

Thanks again Steve, been a couple of days since I was able to get back here. I might try to find some glue and give it a try. It seems kind of scary though, I hope I don't make it worse. Thanks Ritch

Glueing the dash pads down is going to give varied results. One thing comes to mind that might be worth trying. That would be the adhesive used to glue the windshields in. The heat shouldn`t affect it as bad as some other adhesives.
