I have a 2005 Avalanche that I bought used from my sisters law firm. I like it better than any truck I have owned. Drove it on vacation last year and did not get nearly a tired as when I drove my 1996 Caprice to the same vacation spot. I also use it to tow my race cars to the track and it does much better than my 1985 C-20 heavy duty pick up. Both trucks have the tow package. The only thing that I would like to get is better gas mileage. I think the 5.3L should get better the ten mpg around town. What kind of mpg do other owners get?
